Our Story
Let us tell you how Eegholm became part of Elcor
It all began in 1924, brothers Anders and Erik Eegholm opened the doors to a small business in Bjerggade, Sønderborg. They could hardly have known that, more than 100 years later, the knowledge and relationships they began building would still be going strong.
The company grew alongside its customers. In 1961, Eegholm moved into the first section of its facilities on Grundtvigs Allé. From there, it developed into an experienced supplier of electric motors, gears, frequency converters and transmission solutions.
Much has changed since 1924. Products have evolved, technology has moved forward and the business has grown beyond what the two brothers could have imagined. But some things have remained remarkably consistent: practical knowledge, close customer relationships and people who understand the products they work with.
Today, Eegholm is part of Elcor. It is a new name and a new chapter – but not a new beginning.
The same team in Sønderborg is still here. They know the products, the applications and many of the customers personally. Existing agreements and enquiries continue to be handled as before, and the experience built over generations remains exactly where it belongs: with the people who use it every day.
Eegholm’s story is not ending. It is becoming part of a bigger one – the story of Elcor.
More than a century of know-how
A history this long is about more than dates. It is found in the knowledge passed between colleagues, the products that have kept businesses running and the relationships built over generations. That experience remains an important part of Elcor today.
The next chapter starts here
Eegholm is now part of something bigger, but the connection to Sønderborg remains. The same people and knowledge continue under the Elcor name – now supported by specialist teams across several countries. A new chapter, built on more than 100 years of experience.
